A local Senator is calling for serious sanctions for dog owners whose pets attack sheep.
Robbie Gallagher says that attacks on sheep and lambs is ‘harrowing’ for the farmer and tougher actions are needed to stamp it out.
He says that there are thousands of dogs who are not traceable to an owner and the current legislation around this is not fit for purpose.
