A Monaghan garden designer has won big at the Bloom festival in Dublin.
It is the first time since 2019 that the gardening and lifestyle event will be held in person, after two virtual events due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Benny Magennis designed a Minions garden, sponsored by Universal Pictures to celebrate of the latest movie in the series.

It took home Silver in the Show Garden Concept category.
The garden was constructed by another local company, Silverstream Landscapes, which also had a role to play in a number of other winning show gardens at the event.
Bloom runs until Monday in the Phoenix Park.
