The Minister for Housing, Darragh O'Brien has confirmed that further funding will be provided to local authorities for the Housing Voids Programme.
It has also emerged that funding allocations under the 2022 Programme will be announced shortly.
Cavan/Monaghan TD, Deputy Brendan Smith said the funding would allow for local authority housing across the region to be brought back into use.

He added how important it is to ensure that all housing is brought up to proper standards and allocated to individuals and families who need them.
