Locals urged to have their say on greenway consultation

A number of public consultations will take place over the month of November.

Members of the public from four counties on either side of the border, are invited to take part in the second consultation process for the SLNCR. The proposed Sligo, Leitrim, Northern Counties Railway is to provide a Greenway from Sligo Town to Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh passing through Collooney, Ballintogher, Dromahair, Manorhamilton, Glenfarne, Blacklion, Belcoo and Letterbreen on the way. This second stage of the consultation is to run until November 24th.

Members of the public who wish to inform themselves on the options available, view information and follow the progress of the project can do so online on www.slncr-greeenway.com.

Alternatively, project liaison officers and the project team will be available to provide information, and enable people to submit feedback at in-person public consultation events. An event will be held in the Rainbow Ballroom, Glenfarne on November 8th also from 12 noon until 8pm. Alternatively, hardcopies of paperwork associated with the SLNCR is available to collect from Leitrim, Sligo and Cavan County Council offices.
