Magheracloone forecaster warns motorists to be cautious

The most likely time for snow showers will be from 6pm this evening until nine or ten o'clock tomorrow morning.

National forecaster and Magheracloone man Gerry Murphy has advised people to exercise caution when travelling on roads tonight and tomorrow morning.

Cavan and Monaghan are currently under a yellow snow and ice warning, along with Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo.

It is expected this warning will stay in place until midday tomorrow.

According to Gerry Murphy, the most likely time for snow showers will be from 6pm this evening until nine or ten o'clock tomorrow morning.

Despite this, the local forecaster says it will consist of snow showers as opposed to significant falls of snow with only a few centimetres expected.
