A man has been arrested following a "serious assault" in Castleblayney.
Shortly after midnight, gardaí and emergency services attended at a house at Ard na Logan, where a man in his late 20s was found with apparent stab wounds.
He was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel and taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and taken to Castleblaney Garda Station, where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
He can be held for up to 24 hours and the investigation is ongoing.
