A man has been charged after Gardaí were allegedly threatened with a weapon in Tullyvin, Co Cavan yesterday.
The incident saw three uniformed Gardaí allegedly threatened with a blade.
The Armed Support Unit responded and the man was tasered.

He was arrested and taken to Bailieborough Garda Station for questioning. He was subsequently charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
The man, who's in his 40s, appeared before Cavan District Court this morning.
He was remanded in custody awaiting directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.

He’ll appear in Cloverhill District Court next week.
