Denis made it clear that he believes that Pope has the potential to make more of an impact on issues

A man living in Monaghan has expressed his belief that the Pope needs to take more awareness when it comes to dealing with the ongoing conflicts in the world.

Denis O'Higgins was reacting to the announcement of the Association of Catholic Priests asking for Donald Trump's Doonbeg course not to be used for the Irish Open.

Fr. Roy Donovan, who is on the ACP's leadership team, expressed his belief that Trump is destroying democracy and the group called on golfers to take a stand by not taking part in the event.

Denis made it clear that he believes that Pope has the potential to make more of an impact on issues.

He said he seems to be sitting on his laurels" particularly when it comes to the situation on Gaza.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show he outlined his disappointment in the Pope's lack of action.
