The man accused of assaulting two QIH directors has had his case adjourned to next March.

23 year old James Bernard McGovern, of Springtown Road in Kinawley is facing prosecution for allegedly assaulting Kevin Lunney and Dara O'Reilly - directors at the company now known as Mannock - at a Ballyconnell service station on February 1st 2019.

Previous courts were told Mr Lunney suffered a broken nose, while it was claimed his colleague had a cup of hot water poured over his face.

Mr McGovern isn't accused of being involved in separate events last September that saw Mr Lunney abducted and tortured.

He appeared before Judge John Aylmer at Cavan Circuit Court via video-link from Castlerea Prison, where his case was adjourned to the next Cavan sitting next March.

He was remanded in custody.
