We're being urged to look after our mental health and seek supports if needed during the covid-19 pandemic.

Brid O'Meara, Director of Services with Aware, says the service has seen a 60% increase in calls since March and has encouraged people to continue contacting the mental health charity.

She says anxiety is a normal reaction to have to the pandemic and advised people to keep active and to maintain a routine.

Brid says it's still possible to connect with friends and family while remaining physically distant:

Sosad is reminding people that its offices will remain open throughout the Level 4 restrictions as it is an essential service.

The offices in Carrickmacross and Cavan town will remain open to people in need.
