Climate conscious youngsters from Monaghan and Longford emerged victorious at the 23rd Young Environmentalist Awards (YEA) which took place on the 19th of May.
Clones Youth Club won the Junior Eco-Art & Design Award for their project 'Recycling and Restoring Our Heritage Town'.
The group raised awareness through the club's social media accounts and asked others in the community including Tidy Towns to help with the litter pick.

In the senior section, Mercy Secondary School in Ballymahon secured a win for its project 'Water Warriors' .
Meanwhile, over 2,000 young people from across Ireland became involved in this year's event.
