Monaghan Councillors have called for "all associates of the Russian invaders to be condemned".
The motion also "demands the Russian government immediately withdraws its forces from Ukraine and ends the death and suffering of innocent people" there.
The motion will now be forwarded to Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney for his support.

It also notes the "generosity of the Irish people, the Irish government, and agencies working with Ukrainian people", while calling for "all associates of the Russian invaders to be condemned".
Councillor Seamus Coyle brought the motion before the county council for its support.
