Monaghan County Council has been delivering housing "over and above" government targets.
Deputy Chief Executive Paul Clifford says that since 2015, the local authority has provided over 100 homes a year.
Works are ongoing to deliver housing to Monaghan town, Scotstown, Carrickmacross as well as Castleblayney, Ballybay and Newbliss.

He told Shannonside Northern Sound that the council is committed to continue this growth over the coming years.
