The local family are holding a fundraising campaign for organisations like the Ronald McDonald House, Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, and Little Blue Heroes for the unwavering dedication and compassion that they showed to the McAree family during their darkest days.

In March 2023 Co Monaghan toddler Caolán McAree was diagnosed with Germ Cell Cancer.
The youngster who hails from Smithboro has endured two serious operations to remove tumours and undergone chemotherapy treatment but thankfully, he’s emerged as a triumphant warrior and the cancer has been removed.

As a result of his progress, the local family are holding a fundraising campaign for organisations like the Ronald McDonald House, Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, and Little Blue Heroes for the unwavering dedication and compassion that they showed to the McAree family during their darkest days.
A truck, tractor and car run will take place tomorrow with registration from 11am at the Tractor Yard in Clones as part of their fundraising efforts.
Caolán's father Darren says this fundraising initiative is an opportunity for the family to give back in some small way for what all the charities have done for Caolán.
