Monaghan gardai investigating hit and run traffic collision

Gardai are investigating a hit and run road traffic collision that occurred yesterday afternoon on the N12 a short distance from Monaghan town.

The incident happened at approximately 4:15pm yesterday in the Knockaconny area of the town.

The vehicle that failed to stop was a silver crossover/jeep with a southern registration.

It left scene in the direction of Monaghan Town and should have damage to the front of the vehicle from the impact of the collision.

Monaghan gardai are appealing to motorists who may have been in the Knockaconny area yesterday afternoon or have dash cam footage to make it available to them at Monaghan garda Station.
