Gardaí in Co Monaghan are urging local drivers to play their part in making roads safer.
2024 has already seen several people die as a result of road traffic incidents. In Cavan and Monaghan in the last year alone, 13 people tragically lost their lives. Speaking to Northern Sound, Garda Tracy Donohoe revealed that nights and weekends are the most dangerous times on roads. According to Garda Donohoe, dedicated road policing units and local Gardaí continue to work hard to detect offenders. Despite this, it is important for everyone to take responsibility for their conduct on the road in a bid to reduce road traffic collisions and avoid further fatalities.
