A Monaghan man has raised over €16,000 for a virtual walk to Mizen Head.
During the month of June, Noel Duffy walked 420km around Monaghan, the equivalent of walking to the most southern tip of the country.
The effort was in memory of his mother, who died in 2018 as a result of a stroke.

€16,370 was raised during the 20 day fundraiser, which was shared between the Irish Heart Foundation and the Acute Stroke Unit in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda.
