Retail Excellence has unveiled its five friendliest places in Ireland. They include Ashbourne and Moynalty in Meath, Carrick-on-Shannon in Leitrim, Ennis in Claire and Monaghan town.
The places and stores chosen now move on to the next stage of the AIB Merchant Services Retail Excellence Awards which take place on the 12th of November in the Galmont Hotel in Galway. Speaking to Northern Sound, Duncan Graham of Retail Excellence, pointed to the success so far for Monaghan town and Moynalty.
He said the winner would be the one that had gone the "extra mile" and stepped up to the plate when it came to customer service. "No greater examples are there than Carrick-on-Shannon and Monaghan town of this excellence.
"They are just wonderful towns with wonderful people. And, let's face it during the pandemic had a difficult time but still provided people with an excellent service."
