Monaghan senator calls for more toilet facilities at popular park

The wooded park is popular among locals and tourists for its playparks, walking tracks and the Drumlin Giants sculptures and remains Coillte's most visited space.

Now that it has been confirmed that Monaghan Town's Rossmore Park is the most visited woodland park in the country there are calls for extra toilet facilities at the public amenity.
Recently Coillte reported that 358,000 people - more than 1,000 per day - visited Rossmore Park in 2023.
The wooded park is popular among locals and tourists for its playparks, walking tracks and the Drumlin Giants sculptures and remains Coillte's most visited space.

Monaghan Senator Robbie Gallagher said more toilet facilities are "a must" as the visitors keep coming to Rossmore.
He said Monaghan County Council is aware of the need:
