A Co Monaghan teacher believes there should be a national roll out of farm safety elements in schools.
Inniskeen school teacher Niamh Monahan has been involved in a day long farm safety initiative at the local school last year and again this week.
She says while farms are wonderful places for kids to grow up on and visit, they need to be aware of the dangers.
She believes this time of the year would be ideal for children to learn the awareness through play and engagement.
