A Co Monaghan woman is set to be appointed the new national president of The Irish Holstein Friesian Association.
Mary Rafferty, a stalwart of the Breffni/Oriel Club, has been a cornerstone of the Association for over 35 years. She is take up the national role following the associations annual conference AGM which is being held this evening in the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan at 7.30pm.
Mary has served as her local club secretary from 1989 to 2019, Mary’s tireless dedication, exceptional organisational skills, and passion for the breed have earned her widespread respect and admiration.
From launching the Expo Show in Cavan during the 1990s, to establishing cross-border links and supporting countless club and national events, Mary has played a central role in the life of the IHFA community. Mary says the National President of The Irish Holstein Friesian Association role is a great honour for her and her family.
