Monaghan's very own Kayleigh Trappe is to hit the road in a new documentary that airs tonight.
The premise of the tv show is to meet learners who are embracing education through Irish.
The new documentary to be aired on TG4 at 7,30pm is all about Ireland's Education & Training Boards.
Learning Adventures with Kayleigh Trappe features the TikTok sensation and Dancing with the Stars finalist as she visits her old school in Monaghan and travels to Dublin, Kerry, Connemara and Inis Oirr to meet a diverse group of learners, all of whom are on a learning journey through the Irish language.
In the programme, Kayleigh plays chess with Samuele Arzate Montalti, learns to crochet with Hridita Rahman, dances on Inis Oirr with Éadaoin Kinsella O'Neill and tries her hand at boatbuilding with Páraic Ó hEidhin, who advises learners to "follow your own dreams and not someone else's."
Speaking of the week-long adventure, Kayleigh said: she had an amazing week, adding it's so wonderful to see the opportunities that the ETBs provide across Ireland.
She got to meet a variety of people around the country, all with their own amazing stories who all have a positive outlook towards Irish.
In the programme, Kayleigh's adventure starts in Coláiste Oiriall in Monaghan, where she cringes over old photos of herself and hears how important it is to welcome and support students who don't have any Irish or who, like Kayleigh, didn't attend an Irish primary school.
