A motorist faces a court date after drug-driving detection in Co Cavan.
On Sunday morning, the Cavan Roads Policing Unit were carrying out checks on the N3.
A number of drivers were clocked travelling well in excess of the speed limit, with speeds of up to130 km/h detected.

Fixed Payment Notices were issued for these offences, but one driver who was detected speeding also failed a roadside drugs test.
Upon arrest, further testing was carried out at the station and the driver now faces Court.
Local gardaí are using the incident to remind motorists to slow down on the roads.
