A campaign has been initiated by Cavan County Council to encourage people to clean up after their dogs. The local authority are calling on all primary school children aged between 5 and 12 in Cavan to participate.
A poster competition to raise awareness about the importance of cleaning up after your dog is currently underway in the county. The competition theme is 'Why Picking Up After Your Dog Matters'.
The poster should encourage responsible pet ownership, highlight the negative effects of dog fouling, and promote cleanliness in public spaces, parks, and sidewalks. You can drop your poster into Cavan Credit Union Main Street Cavan or the Customer Service Desk, 1st floor, Cavan County Council, Johnson Library.
