A group of 12 local people are to cycle up on 400kms over the weekend in an effort to give back to the Gavin Glynn charity.
The Gavin Glynn Foundation believes that all children with cancer deserve the best care.
They take this financial burden and stress away from the families so they can focus all their time on their child and family.
Jim McQuaid says the challenge is in an effort to show apperception during Ted's illness and treatment.
Ted was diagnosed with a brain tumour 4 years ago and the family had to bring Ted to Manchester for two months in 2024 to receive treatment.
Ted's mother, Gabby McQuaid says the family know first-hand about the worries and concerns surrounding travelling to another country for treatment.
Meanwhile, Jim outlines some of the trip that the cyclists will be taking on over the coming days.
