No refugees have arrived at Cavan Leisure Centre and no arrival dates have been confirmed.
Last Friday, Cavan County Council announced that 43 Ukrainian refugees are to be given temporary accommodation at centre's sports hall.
In a statement last Friday, Cavan County Council said it had received an "urgent request" to provide emergency bed facilities at Cavan Leisure Centre, Drumalee, for 43 Ukrainian refugees.
The statement noted that the swimming pool, gym, and outdoor facilities, including Astro-turf pitch and bowls green, will be unaffected and remain open to the public.
However, Cavan County Council acknowledged the move will cause inconvenience to some users of the leisure centre and thanked the local community for their patience and understanding.
The statement added that the first of these refugees could be in place as soon as last weekend.
However, in a statement to Northern Sound, it was confirmed that no refugees have arrived and no arrival dates have been confirmed.
Meanwhile, an information event will take place in Cavan next week for those who have recently arrived from Ukraine and those currently providing accommodation to people from Ukraine.
It will be held at Cavan Crystal Hotel on Thursday, the 14th of April, from 4 to 7 pm.
People will have the opportunity to meet with different organisations who may be able to provide free support.
The event is for those currently providing accommodation, and not for those with accommodation still waiting to be processed.
