A number of driving offences was detected by members of the Monaghan Roads Policing Unit in the Carrickmacross area yesterday.
Gardai detected a number of drivers holding a mobile phone while driving, while a number of speeding offences were also detected.
According to Gardai, penalty notices will be issued as a result of these offences.

In addition to this, Gardai highlighted one driver in particular who was detected speeding at 82km/hr in a 60km/hr zone.
This driver was arrested as they tested positive for cannabis.
