261 planning permission applications were granted in quarter four of last year in Cavan and Monaghan. That's according to the new figures just released from the CSO. 160 of them were in Cavan with 33 of them for new dwellings while 72 were for other new construction projects. 35 extensions were granted in Cavan and 20 were applications related to alterations or conversations in the county.
There was 101 planning applications in Monaghan with 36 of them being new homes and 35 for other new constructions. 18 extensions were granted in Monaghan over the last three months of 2023 and 12 were applications related to alterations or conversations in the county of Monaghan.
