There are a number of parades taking place across Cavan and Monaghan to mark our patron Saint.
The annual raising of the national flag at the courthouse in Carrrickmacross will be held at 11am today. with the parade underway at 3
The Monaghan town parade kicks off at 3pm and the Ballybay Parade will get underway at 5pm from Gerry Traynor's shop on the Carrickmacross Road.
And in Cavan festivities begin at 12:30pm in the county town; 11:30am in Blacklion; 12:30pm will see the parade kickoff in Killeshandra and the parade in Kingscourt begins at 1pm, and will be led by the army band.
In Ballyconnell the St Patrick's Day Parade kicks off at 3pm and in Cootehill proceedings begin at 3pm.
The Arva Parade is at 3pm; Ballyjamesduff Parade kicks off at 4pm, proceedings begin at 2:30 in Killinleck; 4pm in Swanlinbar; 4:30pm in Ballinagh; and at 5pm the Mullagh Parade will kick off with gusto.
