Plans to bring a park and ride facility close to Whitegate along the N3 are progressing.
That's according to Cllr Shane P O'Reilly who says Meath County Council and Cavan County Council along with the TII are progressing the plans.
It's an issue that's been highlighted for a long number of years and the dangers associated with not having such a location to allow people commute to the capital.

Cllr O'Reilly has been campaigning for many years for such a facility.
He believes a park and ride facility would be a huge benefit to the wider region.
The independent councillor hopes to see the new car park operating within the next 24 months.
