People in the region are being encouraged to ‘play their part’ by recycling soft plastics.
Sinead Ni Mhannain from the Connaught Ulster Regional Waste Office which covers Cavan and Monaghan says new technology has allowed for these plastics to go into the blue bin and be separated.
She says that in order to meet the target for 2030 of 55% of all plastics being recycled everyone needs to make the effort.
