Vantage Towers has received permission to erect a 24 meter high mast in Belturbet.
The free-standing, communications structure will be constructed at a site in Drumcalpin, around 200 meters from Annagh Lough, and will replace an existing 12 metre high pole.
The planners report says the current wooden pole structure is "limiting the technologies, coverage range, and capacity of this site".

It adds that the new lattice tower will "significantly improve the coverage and broadband services in the area".
The works were granted subject to seven conditions, including that the mast be "finished in a neutral colour and maintained in a good condition".
