Permission is being sought for the construction of 22 houses in Co Monaghan.
The homes would be used for social housing and developed on lands adjacent to Sean Mhuileann, Ballinode, Monaghan.
Monaghan County Council has confirmed that there is a need for social housing in this area.

The development would comprise of detached and semi-detached units and consist of a mix of two, three, and four bedroom properties.
A landscaped open space, new access roads, drainage, and streetlighting also form part of the plans.
The application is at pre-validation stage and a decision is expected in May.
