A well known Monaghan food production firm has submitted plans to carry out an extension of its headquarters. Greenfield Foods Ltd who are based in Smithboro has submitted plans to Monaghan County Council this week with a view to erecting two extensions. The plans incorporate a single storey extension to the rear of its existing facility to allow for additional loading and storage areas.
The second part of their purposed plans include a two storey extension to the front and side of its main offices. County planners will decide on the application from Ireland's largest egg packing centre by the end of March.
