Planning permission has been refused for a telecommunications mast in Ballyhaise in Co Cavan.
On Tower Ireland Limited had applied to Cavan County Council for a 21m multi-user lattice type telecommunications support structure but was refused in recent recent weeks.
In response, the council’s planning section received more that 40 individual submissions, some of them outright objections, to the proposed mast. In refusing permission, Cavan County Council deemed the proposed development was contrary to the County Development Plan.
