Planning sought for new mast in Castleblayney

Planning permission is being sought for the replacement of an existing mast near Castleblayney. On Tower Ireland Limited have applied to county planners for the removal of an existing 24 metres lattice telecommunications antenna support structure and replacement with a new 36 metres one.

Also included in the application are all associated site development works along with all antennas and dishes to provide for high-speed wireless data and broadband services in the area. The mast is located on Mullyash Mountain in Castleblayney. County planners will decide on the application by mid January.
