Planning sought for upgrade of local wastewater plant

Planning permission is being sought for the upgrade of the Ballyconnell Wastewater Treatment Plant. Plans have been submitted to Cavan County Council for alterations to the existing inlet works with several major upgrade works proposed for the Ballyconnell location.

Installation of a GRP kiosk to house electrical control panel and all ancillary site works are also included in these plans submitted in recent days. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared in respect of the proposed development. County planners will decide on the application in early December.
