A Co Monaghan mother has pleaded with all politicians to do whatever they can to have her reunited with her two children.
The case of Mandy Kelly's sons, Zayn and Karee who were abducted in Egypt has been raised before the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs, as their Co Monaghan mother continues to seek a legal pathway to bring them home.
Both children aged eight and five were taken to Egypt by their father in 2022 while on a family holiday in Cairo and have not been returned.
Mandy was later granted sole custody by the Irish courts, while Egyptian courts have also recognised her custody rights.
Speaking on the Wider View earlier today, she said that even though she has been granted custody she risks being arrested if she tries to remove them from Egypt.
Mandy said the past 4 years has been a nightmare.
Meanwhile, the Co Monaghan native who lives in Dundalk said she has done everything she can to date and even though politicians have been very helpful, she called on them to assist her to bring her two children back to Ireland to where they belong.
