Pop-up covid vaccination clinic to take place in Smithboro today

A pop-up covid-19 vaccination clinic will take place in Smithboro today.

The clinic will run in the Smithboro Health Unit in Co Monaghan this evening between 5 and 7pm.

First and second doses, and booster vaccinations will be facilitated for anyone over 12 years of age.

It is a walk-in clinic and no appointment is needed.

Monaghan's covid vaccination centre site manager, Paula Loughran, has urged anyone in the area who is eligible for a booster vaccine to take up the opportunity at this evening's event.

For those aged 12 to 15, they can receive their booster vaccine after a six month interval from their second dose.

For those aged 16 and over, this interval is three months.
