Property tax hasn't brought promised roads funding says Cavan Councillor

Last week, the Bailieborough Cootehill MD heard that €9 million would be spent on 33 roads over three years.

The property tax has not lead to better road infrastructure in Cavan as promised according to a local councillor.

Last week, the Bailieborough Cootehill MD heard that €9 million would be spent on 33 roads over three years, meaning there will be 11 roads done a year.

Fianna Fail's Clifford Kelly says that this is not enough and if there is bad weather in the coming months the county's roads will be in a dire situation.

He feels that people have been let down because when raising the Local Property Tax they were promised more a better road infrastructure and that has not happened:
