Public consultation events on the Ulster Canal Greenway project are to take
place later this week.
Preferred routes for the scheme from Smithborough in Monaghan to Middletown
in Armagh have been published.
The preferred route corridor for the second phase of the project has been
published and landowners and local residents are being encouraged to attend.
The first event is taking place in Tyholland Sports Complex on Tuesday
evening, with another in Middletown on Wednesday 19th and in Smithborough on
Thursday 27th.
The first phase of the Greenway opened in Monaghan town in 2013 and it's
planned the second will open next year.
The upcoming dates and venues for the public consultations:
Tuesday August 11th Tyholland Community Sports Complex 6-9 pm
Wednesday August 19th Middletown Markethouse Main St 6-9 pm
Thursday August 27th Smithborough Community Hall 6-9 pm
