The R191 Bailieboro to Cootehill road is set to reopen this morning.
The busy route had been closed since last Tuesday following the emergence of a sinkhole.

Local councillor Adrian Rodgers confirmed the news and he paid tribute to Cavan County Council for getting the road reopened.

He said there be a stop and go system needed in the route next week as workers fully complete the works that have been carried out.
