All matches due to take place this weekend will be rescheduled for two weeks' time.

All Roscommon GAA matches have been postponed this weekend as match officials withdraw their services.

It comes following the alleged assault of a referee at a minor championship match in Ballyforan on Wednesday.

The move will impact all games scheduled in the county for today, tomorrow and Sunday.

Roscommon Referee’s Committee say this action is necessary to strongly condemn any form of violence, aggression or abuse towards match officials in the GAA.

In a statement the county board say, "they strongly condemn any behaviour that puts any of their match officials at risk".

All games due to be played this weekend will be rescheduled to the 16th, 17th and 18th September 2022. All tickets that have been purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture.
