The R194 Virginia to Ballyjamesduff road has been closed until tomorrow evening due to a road traffic collision.
The road is closed from N3 roundabout to Dunancory bridge.
Cavan Fire Service says there is strictly no through route from the bridge to the roundabout for any traffic.

A motorcyclist is in a serious condition following a collision earlier in Virginia.
The collision occurred at 6.40pm in the town centre.
A motorcyclist and car collided and the male motocyclist aged in his 50s was airlifted to The Mater Hospital where he is in a serious condition.
