A local Sinn Féin TD has called for a €200 tourism and hospitality voucher to be given to every adult in the country.
Pauline Tully added the party is also proposing a €100 voucher for everyone under the age of 18.
Deputy Tully says the plan is a "win-win" that will give money to a sector that has been badly hit due to covid-19, and that this will be on top of a bonus to nurses and other frontline workers.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, the Sinn Féin TD said the voucher scheme recognises the fact that "everybody contributed during the pandemic":
