Skeletal remains discovered in Blacklion

Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of skeletal remains at a building site in Blacklion, Co. Cavan.

The discovery was made this afternoon Thursday 12th December, 2024 at approximately 4.30pm. The scene is currently preserved for a forensic and technical examination.

The Coroner’s Office has been notified and investigations are ongoing.

Northern Sound understands a forensic analysis will take place in due course which will determine the course of the investigation.
