Some local GAA clubs have taken a financial hit following the cancellation of Drive-in Bingo due to Level 5 restrictions.

David Funcheon from Castleblayney Faughs GFC says their club is under-going a significant re-development and the revenue generated through the weekly bingo was hugely beneficial.

He also says that the event was filling a void for people, particularly those who live alone or are isolated, and he hopes that they can recommence in December to help the community through the darker evenings.

Speaking on The Joe Finnegan Show David said clubs across the region have been affected, and it was a ‘disaster’ to have it pulled:
