Storm Isha to bring “severe and damaging gusts”

A status Orange wind warning has been across the country as Storm Isha approaches, with winds of up to 120km/h expected.

Met Éireann has issued an Orange warning in every county from 5pm tomorrow. The warning is in place in every county until 2am on Monday.

The forecaster has advised Storm Isha will bring strong southwest winds with "severe and damaging gusts”. 

Weather models currently show wind gusts over 90km/h across the country tomorrow evening, with highs of over 110km/h.

Joanna Donnelly from Met Éireann has warned people to “hunker down” and tomorrow will certainly be a day for indoors.
