Northern Sound has enjoyed success at this year's Justice Media Awards.
The Law Society awards recognise the best in reporting of all legal issues on radio, tv print and online.
The awards were held at Blackhall Place in Dublin this afternoon.
Northern Sound journalist Aaron McElroy received a Silver Award for his coverage of the sentencing in the Kevin Lunney abduction trial, which featured in the Court Reporting (Broadcast) category.
Speaking to Northern Sound on his win, Aaron stated, "It was a difficult but important story of local and national importance, and I'm very proud of Northern Sound's coverage of the trial getting national recognition."
Meanwhile, Shannonside FM took home the top prize in the Broadcast Journalism (radio /local) category for its series of reports entitled 'Making and Breaking the law'.
