That's according to the President of the Irish Road Haulage Association, Eugene Drennan.

France is currently trying to end restrictions on lorries crossing the English Channel - which was introduced because of the new Covid strain.

It's thought up to 250 Irish hauliers are caught in the UK, and unable to make it to mainland Europe.

Meanwhile Stena Line has fast tracked plans for a direct freight service from Rosslare to France.

Eugene Drennan told Shannonside Northern Sound that these issues have demonstrated the lack of options available post-Brexit.
